Swaziland, Oct 14, 2012

We were lucky again and got on Steve's bus as this was going to be another long day on the mini buses. We saw so many things in Swaziland - a country ruled by a King who has many wives and numerous palaces. The country is in a lot better order than either Zimbabwe or Mozambique however the locals are upset with the king's spending. I think the best way to write this blog is to simply outline the pictures you will see and hopefully they stay in order.
1) Marula shop and factory - where everything from the marula tree is used to make soaps, lotions etc. We however like the Amarula Liqueur!
2) On the road side they try to sell everything - in this picture it is firewood - but also a chicken roost!
3) to 11) Things for sale at various markets we visited and a candle shop.
12) Car Wash and laundry area all in one!
13) Conviction Rock - in the old times someone who was guilty of a crime would be blind-folded and told to walk up this mountain and then at the top he would be told to keep walking! Capital punishment with horror all the way up and down!!
14) Road to one of the palaces of the king.
15) One of Shirley's new friends!
16) Beautiful flowers everywhere
17) Kids we gave an orange and an avocado to.We all also chipped in to buy them a soccer ball when Steve returns this way in two weeks.
18) Traditional House.
